What is the difference between the date in the note and effective date of the Remittance Advice Remark Code List?
- The date shown in the note is the date the list gets closed for updates for the trimester. The list is revised continuously, but the updates are published only 3 times a year. The effective date is the date that trading partners must begin using the revised list. They can start using the new/modified codes, or retire a deactivated code when the revised list is published.
