WPC created Combined EDI Implementation Guides incorporating the original May 2000 X12N Implementation Guides and the October 2002 EDI Addenda adopted for use under HIPAA. WPC uses the identical HIPAA metadata databases used to create the May 2000 Implementation Guides and the October 2002 EDI Addenda to ensure that the WPC Combined Guides are comprehensive documents. Some of the WPC Combined EDI Guides also contain known errata corrections to typographical errors found in the original Implementation Guides. Details of these corrections, if any, are outlined in Appendix D.
