The WPC difference – A Real Authority

WPC provided documentation of the highest quality for the earliest Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) implementations, in the transportation, grocery, retail, warehousing, petroleum, and telecommunications industries, among others. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) implementation has had a significant impact on the health care and insurance industry. WPC is the publisher for all of the Subcommittees of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) for EDI, X12, including the Insurance Subcommittee, X12N. As such, WPC publishes the X12N Implementation Guides currently mandated for use under HIPAA along with the 005010 counterparts that are expected to be mandated in the near future. The adoption and mandate of the 005010 version, along with other related standards such as ICD-10 are commonly referred to as HIPAA 2.0.
