HIPAA EDI Implementation Guides

For several years CMS has contracted with WPC to subsidize the publication costs associated with creation and distribution of the downloadable versions of the HIPAA mandated implementation guides. Under this arrangement the downloadable versions have been free to the public. X12N appreciates the efforts CMS has made to ease the HIPAA implementation burden in this manner.

However, CMS is no longer subsidizing these costs, so effective 4/25/06 WPC began charging for all final implementation guides they publish. Charging for such publications is consistent with the policies of other publishers of related standards. The X12N management team understands and supports the need to institute a fee so that we can continue to publish these valuable industry documents.

All X12N Implementation Guides adopted for use under HIPAA and their corresponding addenda are available in three configurations: downloadable PDFs, PDFs shipped on CD, and bound books. Click on a book image below to select a configuration
