OnlyConnect® FirstPass™ v2
FirstPass™ is a stand-alone windows application that accepts X12 data, analyzes the data stream for adherence to X12 syntax and other requirements as specified in the X12N Implementation guides adopted under HIPAA.

FirstPass™ will test transactions based on either the original May 2000 X12N Implementation Guides adopted under HIPAA or the incorporated changes identified in the Addenda published in October 2002.

Processing Flexibility
FirstPass™ automatically identifies the HIPAA transactions to be tested. Supporting the original 12 HIPAA transactions as well as the addenda modifications – supporting 24 transactions in total. FirstPass™ uses the standard EDI envelope and required data elements to choose the correct validation engine for the transaction sets being tested.

FirstPass™ identifies, Level 1 and Level 2 errors as defined by the SNIP White Paper entitled Transaction Compliance and Certification.

Rapid and Cost Effective HIPAA Compliance
The FirstPass™ user interface is very simple and easy to master. Simply drag and drop a file onto the interface and an Icon will confirm the validity of the file, or an error list will detail the multiple failure locations.

The validation engine is completely self contained. No internet access is required so your private heath care information (PHI) stays on your computer.

Reporting and Review
FirstPass™ allows the user to save an EDI file AND testing results to a single package for review, archiving or submission to other entities.

Requirements
FirstPass™ runs on Windows 98, XP, 2000 and Windows 2003. It requires IE4 or later for the Help file only. The .NET clr (v1.1 or greater, not .NET v1.0) is also required.
